This policy explains what ExpertView collects and why. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
What we collect
- Mobile number, to log you in with a one-time code. One-time codes are stored only as a one-way hash and expire after 5 minutes.
- Session records: a device description (for example "Chrome on macOS"), when you signed in and when the session ends, so you can see and end sessions.
- Guest preview records: a random device identifier, IP address and a hash of your browser's user agent, to limit previews.
- What you create: watchlists, alerts, paper trades and notes.
- Payment records: plan, amount, method type and a reference. Card numbers, CVVs and UPI PINs are never stored by ExpertView.
Cookies
ev_session: keeps you logged in (HttpOnly).ev_device: identifies the device for the guest preview limit (HttpOnly).ev_csrf: protects forms against cross-site requests.
There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account exists. One-time code records and guest records are kept only as long as needed for rate limits and security.
Your choices
You can end sessions from the Account page. To access, correct or delete your data, write to the address on the Contact page.
Logs
Server logs never contain one-time codes or full phone numbers; numbers are masked, for example +91 98XXXXXX21.
